Road Trip to Hearst Castle - Part 2

After 3.5 hours (plus another hour for eating) we finally made it to Hearst Castle! It was really crowded when we got here and tickets were selling out FAST! So, note to self: buy tickets in advance if possible. Trust!

The castle was incredible taking up so much land that I couldn't help but to pause and stare in awe for a couple minutes. "WOW" would not even begin to describe what it looks like. The details in the architecture will simply amaze you as well as the statues and stories behind everything. Walking around I kept thinking, someone actually lived like this? Omg what an extravagant lifestyle!

Just a heads-up, this isn't a one-day-see-everything-kind-of-place. There's different tours for the main house, guest houses, kitchens, etc., any of which are plenty to see. The best part of the castle? The outdoor pool. Totally love at first sight! Sitting there we were imagining ourselves relaxing there every day with one of those tropical drinks with an umbrella. That, my friend, would be the "good life" indeed wouldn't it?

Sending love,
kimberly
