Exploring Chicago (part1)

2.27.2017

Out and about in the Windy City...

Last month we took a spontaneous trip to visit Chicago. We've never been before and were debating on going back to one of our favorite cities (hello San Francisco!) but decided to try some place new. And it was the best decision (read about our #TKeverlasting Proposal here).

On our first full day in Chicago, we started it off with a delicious breakfast at Wildberry Pancakes and Cafe. This place was recommended a couple times and it's no wonder! The pancakes were super moist and not too sweet. The beef & hash was very savory and the egg made it even better. And I'm typically not a coffee drink but this toffee nut latte was pretty good. This was easily my favorite sweet meal of the trip. Loved it and highly recommend it as well!

Right across the street is the Millenium Park and a great place to take a stroll and walk off some breakfast calories. Along the way you'll also find the popular bean to take photos at.

Well, you can't really go to Chicago without having some deep dish pizza right? After some brief research, we decided to try out Lou Malnati's and, boy, are we glad we did! The Malnati Chicago classic pizza and Malnati salad were both excellent choices and made our stomachs very happy.

On a spontaneous limb, we attended a local Chicago play called Fast, Loud, & Funny. It was different than what we've usually seen but kudos to the actors for their great improv work.

To end the night, we went to Joe's Seafood, Prime Steaks, & Stone Crab and ordered a feast for two. The ribeye and infamous stone crabs are a must whenever you go here!

Stay tuned for more of our Chicago photo diaries next time!
