Shoes of Prey x Janie Bryant Event at Nordstrom Fashion Island

Where are all my shoe lovers at? There's a new brand you MUST know about, like now...

On Tuesday, I attended the Media Preview event for the launch of the Shoes of Prey x Janie Bryant collection at Nordstrom Fashion Island. It's the first store for this collaboration in Southern California and the third store opening for Shoes of Prey (it first opened in Seattle and second in San Francisco). Created by Michael Fox, Mike Knapp, and Jodie Fox, Shoes of Prey is an online shoe boutique where shoppers can now design their own shoe. You heard me right: you now get to design your very own custom made shoe! In fact, you can design as many as you want. Once you start clicking away, you'll find that it is easy to come up with so many creations. The hard part then comes to making your final decision. 

Design your shoe in 3 easy steps:

1) Pick your style - from flats, heels, oxfords, and wedges.

2) Select your details in the design studio - includes color, materials, style, heel height, and extras.

3) Add to cart - review checkout details, payment, then place your order.

We got to experience all of this firsthand at the event and I must say, this is the new spot you'll be meeting your girlfriends at. With a table of various shoes sizes to try on for the perfect fit to walls of swatches of the actual fabrics and walls upon walls of shoes to get style inspiration, just sit back with a glass of champagne and enjoy creating your special shoe made just for you. After your shoe design is complete, you'll receive an email confirmation and your brand new custom made shoes will be delivered in about 4-5 weeks. Ta-da, just like that!

According to Janie...the late 60's era was her inspiration for her collection filled with stripes and bold colors.
