OUTFIT :: 30 Days, 30 Ways Campaign with Sseko Designs
7.30.2014
When Sseko Designs asked me to be a part of their 30 Days, 30 Ways to Educate Women in Africa campaign, I immediately jumped on board to support the cause...
WISHLIST :: Black Tote Bag
7.23.2014
Right now Nordstrom is having their Anniversary Sale and I just-so-happen to be on the lookout for a new bag. Here are some I've currently coveting (at a great sale price too!)...
OUTFIT :: Don't Mesh with Me
3.07.2014
There's errands to run, an endless list of things to do, and you have no time for anything else. Sound familiar? When I'm feeling super busy, I turn to a do-not-disturb look in (what else? but) an all black getup...
SNEAK PEEK :: No Purse Necessary
11.05.2013
Ready for a sneak peek of an upcoming outfit post? Ever since I got this Bandolier phone case (HERE), I immediately fell in love with it. For someone who doesn't usually like to carry many things, this black iPhone leather case is perfect! It holds my phone, ID, and credit card so there's no hassle to lug around a giant bag. Plus with the detachable gold chain (more options HERE), there's many ways to wear it. Don't you just love it too? I know, what a genius idea! It's definitely one of my new favorite accessories that I've been taking everywhere.
***THANKS Capobianco for the coolest iPhone case - it's one of the best accessories a girl can have!

So keep the purse at home and take a Bandolier out to play. Your life won't ever be the same again.
SNEAK PEEK :: Something Edgy
10.23.2013
Hi there! Keeping it really short in this post and giving you a sneak peek of one of my next outfit posts. Here I wore something a little edgier and can't wait to show you the whole look! Stay tuned for my next post for outfit details.
Hope you're having a great week - it's finally Wednesday (yay!). Some words of wisdom?
"Time is the most precious thing in life, everyone wants more. So don't waste time on people or things that don't deserve it."
Live your life the way you want to live it. Simple as that.

EVENT RECAP :: BlogTopia!
10.09.2013
Never heard of this? Of course not, this was its first year! Allow me to spill you in on all the details of what is BlogTopia! First off, this was taken place at the South Bay Galleria. Second, funnyman Nick Verreos from Project Runway hosted it (and he never disappoints). Third, it was pretty cool - there were hair demos, fashion talk, henna tattoos, food sampling (you know I love food), and more! Click below to keep reading for details and pictures from the event...
LAFC's Open Runway Series (pt.2) ft. Kimberly Luu Designs
8.01.2013
Last month I sat and watched LA Fashion Council's (LAFC) first Open Runway series (here). This month, however, I decided to participate as one of their emerging designers and it was beyond amazing! Not only did I get to showcase some of my new creations (including two I designed the week of the show - yes, I know, crazy right?) but we were also being filmed by E! Online for the Producers of Fashion Police for a potential new reality show. Wow - major cool beans there!
According to Kimberly x Penelope's Vintage (Part 2)
6.25.2013
Remember my first look I styled with Penelope's Vintage here? The one with the red coat in the alley? Well this is my second outfit and just so happens to be one of my favorite looks this year!
A Wedding with Vera Wang
5.13.2013
Exactly one month ago today, my good friend Alex got married to her high school sweetheart Johnny and it was absolutely beautiful!
From the church to the reception, there was so much love in the air that you knew you were in the presence of two very happy couple destined to be together. (Kudos to my sisteroo Kaf for capturing this moment!)
To celebrate this special occasion, I wanted to wear a dress that reminded me of weddings and who else would be an expert on wedding dresses but Miss Vera Wang right? When I saw this asymetrical Vera Wang gown in my favorite color and tried it on, it fit p-e-r-f-e-c-t-l-y. Hey, when a sign is a sign, I take it. This Vera Wang dress was meant-to-be worn so I snagged it up right away! As my shopping buddy Jude said, "C'mon it's freaking Vera Wang!"
My handsome date for the night aka "the bf." My little sisteroo Sus caught the flower bouquet and threw it at me. Umm I think she's trying to hint at something. ;)
It is funny though, as we're all getting older, my girlfriends and I keep looking around to see who's next. I think we're at that stage. That wedding stage where everyone will start to get married. haha Not me though - at least not yet (I still have another year of grad school). Until then, I'll enjoy attending weddings.

Outfit Details of what I wore: Vera Wang dress, Sole Society heels (not shown), Ted Baker bangle, lucite triangle ring, gold bow ring, gifted statement necklace from the bf, and a hot shade of NYC pink lipstick (from GUESS event here)
Congratulations Alex + Johnny and happy 1 month of marriage! Wishing you two the best as you grow old together!
"Love is...two people sharing one heart" (stolen from the newspaper clippings that my papabear collects - yes, isn't he so cute?)
Sending love & hugs,

Coachella Style
4.22.2013
Outfit Details:
sheer top
obey shorts
sheer top
obey shorts
Gypsy Junkies cutout cardy
DSW heels
Hautebetts/H&M/Hawaii bracelets
Electric sunglasses
DIY floral crown from HautePinkPretty
Don't laugh but I first discovered Coachella last year when people were buzzing about the holographic Tupac performance (remember this?). I know, where have I been right? Coachella's been going on for decades! So I was really hoping to go this year and was lucky enough to get invited to some of the awesome parties (who doesn't want to go to a Coachella party?!?) but regretfully had to cancel due to personal events back in OC/LA. Now I have to go next year and see what it's all about - consider it on my bucket list!
If I did go to Coachella, this is probably what you'd find me in: sheer tops, colored shorts, flowy skirts, and a flower crown just-because (when/where else can you wear one and get away with it?). Plus, how amazing is the Gypsy Junkies floral cutout fringe cardy I'm wearing? Currently obsessed with its details and my new Hautebetts bracelets! Would have totally packed them too.
A little off tangent but sorry for my delay in posts - it's usually so not like me. However, I have only ONE more week of grad school left so it's kind of consumed my blogging time lately but come next week, I'll have lots of fashion fun to update you all. Good stuff coming, trust! So I'd like to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for being patient and supporting my blog. It means a lot. :) Wishing you all a fabulous week and leaving you inspired with one of my new fav quotes!

Top 5 Fashion Faves: Oscars 2013
2.24.2013
The Oscars. Where who's who of Hollywood movie makers wait all year long for this award show to see who wins what.
As for my Top 5 Fashion Faves, these fashionistas had that extra oomph that made them stand out just a little more than the rest of the crowd:

1. Zoe Saldana wearing Alexis Mabille - a couture twist with an subtle ombre hem (when does Zoe ever not look good?)

2. Stacey Keibler wearing Naeem Khan - the art deco on the back makes this piece very captivating (LOVE!)

3. Kerry Washington wearing Miu Miu - she's so adorable & this coral dress makes me feel like spring is just around the corner

4. Naomi Watts wearing Armani Prive - a little funky futuristic kind of but I'm oddly attracted to it

5. Jennifer Lawrence wearing Dior Haute Couture - the front is simple but don't you just love the long train? I do! (*congrats* to Jennifer for winning Best Leading Female for Silver Linings Playbook!)
FASHION TRENDS FOR THE NIGHT:

Strapless Gowns

Metallic Dresses
Did you watch the show? What was your favorite part of the Oscars? Mine was Ben Affleck's speech at the end for Best Movie award for Argo which was so heartfelt and touching - and definitely the best speech of the night! He's so humble and totally deserved it!
"Doesn't matter how you got knocked down in life. All that matters is how you get up." ~ Ben Affleck
