Last month I sat and watched LA Fashion Council's (LAFC) first Open Runway series (here). This month, however, I decided to participate as one of their emerging designers and it was beyond amazing! Not only did I get to showcase some of my new creations (including two I designed the week of the show - yes, I know, crazy right?) but we were also being filmed by E! Online for the Producers of Fashion Police for a potential new reality show. Wow - major cool beans there!

Well, I must say that I am pretty excited it's finally May. Not only is it my birthday month (yup, Taurus baby here), but I am almost done with my first year of grad school (last day is tomorrow!). To celebrate all the fabulousness in store for this month (and to make up for my absence lately), I decided to get back into blogger mode by having a new post every day for May. I love blogging and sharing stories so it's time to get back into gear. As Barney Stinson from HIMYM (How I Met Your Mother) would say, "Challenge, accepted!"
A couple months ago, I got to visit the Aroma Naturals Headquarters in Cerritos and made my very first candle which was pretty cool. (I seriously picked out every piece for those candles and mixed oils to create my own scent. Kind of felt like a scientist haha)
Fun fact: all the candles are made from veggie-soy waxes and the scents are created from essential oils and pure plant aromas only, making them very eco-friendly. Talk about being a super natural product that's good for the environment and good for you! Plus, each of their products had their own unique scent that smelled very therapeutic. Add a nice hot bubble bath and give yourself 15 minutes of relaxation. Sounds like a perfect night in to me (with a good book or magazine, of course).

Here's a #ThrowbackThursday for you all! Last year Lookbook.nu threw an event called "Party Like a Fashion Blogger" so it was obviously a sign for me to go. Got to meet and mingle with other cool fashion bloggers, take fun photo booth pics wearing IVI sunglasses, and do a little dancing. ;) Not too bad for a random Thursday night.

This time, MAGIC Edition (Part 1)! I got to Vegas on Sunday and I'm still here. It's been very busy (awesome busy) and I wanted to share some mini highlights of my trip so far as one of MAGIC's Official Bloggers...
On Sunday I headed out to Vegas for MAGIC Market Week. Wore For Love & Lemons top & Lucca Couture skirt ~ the perfect comfy travel outfit thanks to Lobby Lab!
Checked into Hard Rock Hotel suite, unloaded my snacks, & found this surprise note from my little sisteroo ~ so sweet

Judith Bright Jewelry + DIY Christmas Ornaments

So I actually wanted to post this before Christmas but this weekend was so crazy busy for me (sorry!). A couple weeks ago I attended the Launch Haus Holiday Soiree where I got to preview the gorgeous jewelry collection by Judith Bright. Each piece in her collection is all handmade which makes them so unique and one-of-a-kind. My favorite pieces that I absolutely adored are the turquoise stone bracelet (in first pic), wired bracelet (in 3rd pic), and sandalwood bracelets that were actually blessed by monks with spiritual meanings (2nd to last pic). I also LOVED the DIY Christmas ornament party that was going on (it was my first time!) so I had a blast doing arts & crafts! Created one for the bf (*TK* is our initials together) and one for my sisteroos (*2Ks+1S*).

Hope you all had a very Merry Christmas! Mine was busy with 2 birthday celebrations and family gatherings. Good times and a great way to enjoy the weekend!
