#dinewithATK :: Get Your Dessert Fix at Polar Playground, Huntington Beach

So I know I've been "absent" from here for quite awhile but it's for good reason...
The secret is finally out! After months upon months upon months of hard work, endless late nights/early mornings, constant researching and testing R&D, I'm happy to be able to share what I've been up to. Ready for it? ...*drum roll please*... The Mister and I opened up an ice cream parlor right here in Huntington Beach called Polar Playground! 

We kicked off our Soft Opening on Friday, November 30th and have barely been open for a little over a week now. Lots of friends and family attended our first soft opening weekend and we are so thankful and appreciative of everyone who came out to support. Thank you, thank you all!

Every little design detail was carefully thought out and we are so proud of how it came out! From our copper piping to our LED glowing sign to our colorful walls. We even have bubble swings to spin in!! 

Not only that, our desserts look pretty AND tastes delicious. We serve ice cream, soft serve sundaes, milkshakes, floats, craft sodas, and cotton candy. Our popular Northern Lights cotton candy was even featured on KTLA5Live (watch it here) recently too for National Cotton Candy Day on December 7th! It was a great way to celebrate our 1 week anniversary of having our Soft Opening (haha yes, we celebrate little things like that).

We also just got our 1st local Orange County press feature with OC Weekly's Now Open column (read about it here)! It just got posted today. Thanks for featuring us Edwin and Anne Marie!

Some other customer favorites? The Cereal Killer sundae, Chocolate OD sundae, Matcha Madness sundae, Dreamsicle float, and Java the Float. Our soft serve ice cream sundaes and milkshakes are unique because we mix-in toppings inside the ice cream which gives it a nice crunch surprise. Words and pictures don't do it justice to describe what I'm trying to say, you just have to go there and try it yourself to understand. Trust.

Come by and get your ice cream dessert fix while supporting a local small business. Our soft opening hours are 12PM(noon) - 9PM Tuesdays-Sundays and closed on Mondays. 

What are you craving to try?
