Can't believe we woke up before 6am for our LAX flight to Hawaii! That is super early! At 6am, who needs makeup? Just put on some sunglasses and you're good to go.
It was a long flight. No lie. But luckily we flew with Delta Airlines and this my was first time on this flight. I actually enjoyed it more than I thought I would. The seats are more comfy and recline (yes I said recline) when you push them back. Ahhh it felt good. And these screens on the back of the seats played movies! You drink. You chat. You watch 2 movies. Not too shabby I tell you.
As with all flights, it's apparently become a tradition for me & Jud to order drinks (helps time pass by and it's fun so why not?). Plus, we were pre-celebrating my little sis Kaf's bday so we were all in a happy-can't-wait-to-get-to-Hawaii mood.
ALOHA! We finally made it to Hawaii and it was nice! Couldn't wait to get into our rental car (thanks Jud for always being our amazing driver) and get to our beachfront house. Eeks!!
WOW. All our jaws dropped at the breath-takingly gorgeous panoramic view of the beach from the Volcom house where we were staying for the next 8 days. We seriously woke up to this view (from the 3rd floor) every day. Oh man. Loved it so much there!
Outfit Details: Nordstrom coral top, unknown lace printed shorts
After dropping off all our luggages and what-nots, we headed out to Pupukea Beach to check out the scenary and grab some food. The food was delicious but I'll tell you more about it later during my Food for Fridays posts. We went sight-seeing for a little bit, checked out the local supermarket (it's definitely more expensive than OC), and then back home to unpack and settle into our new temporary home.
Back at the house, we made a home cooked meal for dinner (okay, Sus made the home cooked meal for dinner) and at midnight (California time, Hawaii is 3 hours earlier) we surprised Kaf with a little cake for her 26th birthday. It was a lovely way to end our first night in Hawaii. <3
Stay tuned for Day 2 of my Hawaii adventure!
