ATK Monthly Faves :: March/April/May 2019

6.12.2019

Well these past 3 months flew by in a blink of an eye, didn't it?!...
First off, happy June!! Wow, so many things have happened since then for me to update you guys! I'm really trying to re-organize my schedule now and prioritize more of my time on the bloggie versus social media cause I feel like there's not enough time to dedicate to everything plus I feel like I can share with you here so be sure to subscribe/check back often for new posts! In the mean time, keep scrolling below for some of my Monthly Faves for March, April, and May.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
{Let's start off with March}

STYLE :: Shopping spree at the new Marshall's
27080 Alicia Parkway, Laguna Niguel, CA 92677
www.marshalls.com
#marshallsfinds #ad
***DISCLAIMER :: A gift card was received to shop here but reviews are of my own.***
Marshall's is like the one-stop shop for all your needs! They've got home decor, clothes, shoes, beauty products, things for men, things for pets, and even snacks. I mean, I can just be here for hoursss - oh wait, I think we did do that (haha).

BEAUTY :: Sugarfix x Bauble Bar at Target collaboration
#baublebarfortarget
Bauble Bar has teamed up with Sugarfix and created a collection exclusively for Target. Here's a peek at some of their pretty pieces! From earrings to necklaces to bracelets, it's filled with lots of bold colors and statement pieces at a really good price point. Perfect for everyday wear or even to weddings (shop the collection here)!

FOOD :: Celebrate Furiwa event at Lifetime Weddings (the place where we got married!)
15081 Beach Blvd., Westminster, CA 92683
www.lifetimewedding.com
#lifetime weddings

Furiwa, a popular Asian restaurant, has closed it's restaurant doors but don't fret cause they are still offering their catering services - which is exactly what this Celebrate Furiwa event was all about! There was an ice sculpture, lobsters galore, dim sum characters, hot soups, noodles, ribs, liquor, live band, singers, dancers, a dragon dance, casino games...you name it and they had the whole sha-bang. Truly quite impressive.
P.S. If you've gone to an Asian wedding with the multiple seafood courses, there's a high chance it may have been catered by Furiwa. I like their dishes over other places for wedding catering because it just tastes better (to me).

TRAVEL :: Disney World's Animal Kingdom
2901 Osceola Parkway, Orlando, FL 32820

We celebrated our March 1-year wedding anniversary with a day at Disney World in Orlando! Disney World actually has 4 theme parks (Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Animal Kingdom, and Hollywood Studios). Given that we already have Disneyland annual passes, we wanted to check out something different and went with Disney's Animal Kingdom. It was pretty cool cause there were rides AND a safari! The best ride (and longest 4 hours wait everrrr but so worth it) was Avatar's Flight of Passage. WOW. Definitely make that your 1st stop; we highly recommend it!

LIFE :: Exploring the Poppy Fields in Lake Elsinore
On one of our days off, the Mister and I drove alllll the way out to Lake Elsinore (about 1.5-2 hours away from the OC!) to catch the ever-so-popular superbloom. The poppy fields here went on and on endlessly and our little dog Truffles loved it. Since it rained so much this winter, it created the superbloom of all the flowers which lead to so many people wanting to go here to check it out. At one point, there was even traffic blocking off cars from entering but luckily, we went during the day time before it got extremely busy. Did anyone else catch it while it was in season??
Fun fact :: the California poppy is the national state flower.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
{Moving onto April}

STYLE :: Market Run
Oh you know, just casually dressed for the market. JUST KIDDING. Wore this striped top + pink pants combo on one of our days off and we happened to go to the market to get groceries for dinner. Of course I couldn't resist a photo app with the cute little fruit cart.

BEAUTY :: Skinceuticals C E Ferulic serum
#CEFerulicChallenge
***DISCLAIMER :: This item was gifted was reviews are of my own.***
Vitamin C is SO important - not only for our health but also for our skin. So Skinceuticals created the C E Ferulic serum (shop it here) which is packed with tons of vitamin C to help prevent skin damage as well as correct the signs of aging. I added this to my skincare routine for about a month and noticed a slight difference where my dark spots got a little bit lighter. I'm so forgetful when it comes to adding serums so I think consistency is key to see good results.

FOOD :: Juice It Up's Customiza-BOWL collaboration
***DISCLAIMER :: Juice It Up provided the item but the review is of my own.***
In honor of National Acai Month, Juice It Up teamed up with Sambazon to promote their acai bowls and I was asked to participate. This was a no-brainer for me because I've been a fan of Juice It Up's acai bowls for yearssss. In fact, I first heard about acai bowls (and had my first one) at Juice It Up back in 2003/2004! I worked with their nutritionist Noah to create a customiza-bowl for what health benefits I was trying to target and this is what we came up with: acai bowl with hemp plus granola, goji berries, fresh bananas, fresh blueberries, collagen boost, and make it green boost.

TRAVEL :: Viva Las Vegas baby

Had a quick 1-nighter to Vegas to celebrate the middle sister's boyfriend's birthday and, dang, I haven't been here in awhile. We dined at Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse then partied the night away at XS. In my past life (aka my younger days), I've gone to aplenty of Vegas nightclubs but the bottle service table we got this time has got to be the best one e-v-e-r. It was situated inside with a view of the pool and the windows were open so you still got the fresh air breeze coming in. Plus, it wasn't too close - but close enough - to the DJ booth so the loud music wasn't banging in our ears. Yeah, I sound like I'm so old but that's cause I am now (haha)!

LIFE :: Girl time hiking in our backyard
The winter rain even brought about a mini superbloom in the OC! Went hiking with Tiffani and Tanya at the Newport Back Bay and the blooming flowers were just so pretty. Usually I'm not a hiker but if it's filled with flower fields, I'll take it.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
{Now time for May}

STYLE :: The Boudoir Party photo shoot
***DISCLAIMER :: The photo service was gifted but the reviews are of my own.***
At the beginning of my birthday month, I scheduled a photo shoot with The Boudoir Party. Created by Ashley and Kayla, they both were such a pleasure to work with. They made me feel comfortable and the setting for the boudoir-style photo shoot was so feminine and girly - I loved that (haha). Here's a sneak peek of one of the photos as I'll be sharing more later on (when we get them).

BEAUTY :: Getting dolled up with my sisteroos

When the sisteroos get glammed up, oh we will get glammed up. This was actually a quick snap of our makeup from The Boudoir Party photo shoot. We kind of all went with that romantic smokey eye look. I mean, it never fails, right?

FOOD :: Happy hour at Eureka, Huntington Beach
Okay, so Eureka may be known for their burgers but you gotta check out their happy hour menu! My favorites were their truffle fries, Brussel sprouts, and nachos. O-M-G. Craving all of those right now.

TRAVEL :: Paris/London birthday trip
After soooo many years, I can finally cross off Paris and London from my bucket list! For my 35th birthday, the Mister and I travelled across the world to explore these two countries. I'll post a recap of each place in separate blog posts cause there's just so much I want to share so stay tuned for it! In the mean time, check out my latest blog post for some sneak photos with our Paris photographer Sasha Lannier {here}.

LIFE :: Kicking off birthday month at - where else - Disneyland
Before we headed out to Europe, we had to squeeze in a quick trip to Disneyland. Went on the Cars ride, ate a churro, did some exercise (aka walking). It was a fun day with the Mister!

  2. A very useful article! I myself have combination skin. I accidentally found this product on the internet called hyaluronic acid which traps the moisture in your skin. It worked wonderfully for me. I was also fed up with the skin tags on my skin. So I used Lucent skin brightner which helped me a lot for removing my skintags
