Where to See Christmas Lights in OC

12.25.2020

One of our favorite family outings this season has been looking at Christmas lights.
People have been SO creative decorating their houses with some even going all out! We've been driving around OC to check out Christmas lights this year and it's been a fun "safe" adventure. If you're looking for something to do with your family this weekend, I'm sharing my 3 favorite spots (in no particular order) I loved seeing Christmas lights this year (so far) - right here in OC! I haven't figured out how to upload videos in my blog posts yet to show you a better view but hopefully that's something I can add in 2021. AND remember to scroll all the way down to the bottom for a longer list of where to see Christmas lights throughout Orange County.

2970 Primrose Avenue, Brea, CA 92821
This is part of the Brea Eagle Hills community. There are a couple blocks of houses all decorated for the season! We found parking and walked around. It took about 30-45 minutes to see everything. So much festive vibes here. Makes me want to live in a neighborhood where everyone decorates - it just puts you in the holly jolly spirit!

1151 Windsor Lane, Tustin, CA 92780
It was only this one house really all decked out but also won as one of my favorites! You can tell the owners really poured their heart and soul into the decor and wanted us (strangers) to come and enjoy the experience. You can park and see the decorations up close. They even set up a couple "photo spots" including one with Santa and Sandy Claus! I mean, how thoughtful is that? Definitely warmed my heart that these strangers opened up their home like that.

15 Bainbridge Avenue, Ladera Ranch 92694
Just this one house alone is impressive. We slowly drove past it and enjoyed it from the car. On the way (before reaching the house), you can spot the dancing trees at the park when you enter. Be sure to tune to the station to hear the music that goes along with it!

BONUS :: 36 Bramford Street, Ladera Ranch, 92694
Well since you're already in Ladera Ranch, you might as well check out this neighborhood block. One house even had snow falling! Also, each house had a candy cane sign which made it feel like they truly are a community.

And here's the list of 100 Best Christmas Lights in Orange County (note: it may change each year).

Does your neighborhood decorate for the holidays?

I never really thought much of this before but, now having a baby, we hope our future neighbors (when we buy a home) will be festive. Especially since December is also Kyler's birthday - it'll just make it that much more special. Tonight, we're thinking about going to see Christmas lights in Yorba Linda (check them out on my Instagram Stories: @kimberly_luu).

UPDATE 12/26/20 :: We caught a glimpse of the Christmas lights at the East Lake Village (5325 Village Center Drive, Yorba Linda, CA 92886) and WOW just had to share!
Now that is one huge community of festive cheer! Each section of homes had so many decorations. You can park and walk around (which we did at first) or drive through to view from your car (which we did afterwards cause there's soooo many homes!). There are so many decorated houses here that you can spend a while looking at all the decor! We saw lots of families outside wearing masks and keeping their distance walking around as well as lots of cars driving through. This community is also situated on/by a lake so if you go just before sunset, you can catch a pretty view of that too!

As always, thanks for reading and sending you air hugs!
