Newport Beach Wine & Food Festival 2015 Media Preview

9.30.2015

It's happening this weekend so get ready...

That's right. The 2nd annual Newport Beach Wine & Food Festival is finally here! Can't believe it's been a year since I've gone to the first one (HERE). That was a ton of fun and one of my favorite events last year so I'm pretty thrilled that's it's back again. Earlier this summer I got to attend the Newport Beach Wine and Food Festival's Media Preview event, benefiting Project Hope Alliance, in Corona del Mar (outfit details HERE) with my friend Tiffany. For this intimate event, it took place at a private residence overlooking the Balboa docks with home decor provided by Z Gallerie. I've gone to several food events before and I must say, that the NBWFF team sure does know how to make a memorable experience! A glass of champagne upon entrance, a live pianist, featured chefs with their special dishes, glasses of bubbly ready to be served, a relaxing sunset view - I mean, what's not to love right? We had such a blast sampling all the food and wine from local businesses like True Food Kitchen, Slapfish, Maestro's, Del Frisco's Grille, Fig & Olive, Aqua Lounge, and more! To think this was just a mini preview of what's to come this weekend? Oh, you definitely won't want to miss out! In case you can't make it, I'll be sharing pictures plus behind-the-scenes action on social media and snapchat (@kimberly_luu) so follow along and enjoy the fun!

My Favorite Award goes to:
SAVORY - Santa Barbara uni with salmon caviar (a-m-a-z-i-n-g!)
SWEET - Maestro's warm butter cake (the best dessert EVER. I get it every time I'm there.)
WINE - 2013 Moscato D'Asti from Pio Cesare (SO good.)

***THANKS to Lindsey and the Newport Beach Wine and Food Festival team for having me!

What is your go-to choice for wine? I'm more of a cabernet/merlot kind-of-girl but a good moscato is always a good idea in my book. Cheers!

{FOOD TIP: Come hungry and sample a little bit of everything first then come back for more of your favorites.}
