Breast Cancer Awareness with Macy's

10.29.2015

Spreading breast cancer awareness all month long...

In case you haven't noticed, October is all about the color pink and I'm so for it! I've teamed up with Macy's to help raise breast cancer awareness. Each year the Macy's x Ideology fitness line (available HERE until November 1, 2015) creates select pieces where 10% of the sales goes to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF). Since it focuses on the fitness lifestyle, I like to incorporate the items into real life activities (see how I styled last year's Macy's x Ideology collection HERE). Hence, it was the perfect outfit for walking our dog Truffles to the bark park (the boyfriend and I just discovered a place nearby!). Recently, earlier in the year, Truffles developed some sort of mass on her chest that kept getting bigger and bigger. It was really scary for us so we took her to the vet and got it removed. Luckily, after that, it never came back. Macy's x Ideology's "Fight Like a Girl" tee and "Strength" leggings reminded me of how strong and active she is. That, no matter what happens, you keep on moving forward. So, let's Think Pink and raise breast cancer awareness together!

What inspires you to think pink? Some of you may know, if you've been following my blog, that my mother passed away from breast cancer when I was a little girl so this cause is near and dear to my heart. That's why it's important to take preventative measures! Do self-breast exams, ask your doctor questions, and get your mammograms done. After all, your health is your wealth!

{FASHION TIP: It doesn't need to only be October to spread bca, you can do it all year long!}

  1. I knew that I'd never have to go back to the soul sucking corporate life again and I knew I could achieve that by helping others find their confidence again! That was one of my main motivating factors. Well that and working from home in my pjs

  2. The third dog in this post, Buddy, makes me feel nostalgic. You may or may not know this, but I used to have a dog named Buddy as well. I grew up with Buddy, my family's yellow lab, starting when I was in middle school. He died just this past January after spending twelve years with our family. I know Buddy is a really common name for a dog, but it still made me feel a connection!
