#TKeverlasting Wedding Day

3.24.2020

Today marks a special day, forever and always...
Two years ago we got married again (see our court wedding here) but this time in front of 250 guests. If I could do it all over again, I totally would (and tell the Mister that allllll the time haha). From the morning tea ceremony to the first look photos to the wedding ceremony and reception, it was a nonstop day (we started at 5am!!) but sooo so worth it. Sharing some of my favorite photos below including a list of all our wedding vendors and wedding style details (so pre-warning: it's going to be a longggg post)!

MORNING TEA CEREMONY // This is a Vietnamese culture tradition that is done, also known as the dam cuoi (wedding ceremony), where the husband's family comes to the bride's family house with gifts then takes the bride to go to his house and have a gathering with everyone (with food) there.

FIRST LOOK PHOTOS
It's called the "first look photos" because this is the first time when the groom sees his bride in her beautiful wedding dress and we really did wait until this moment to surprise him! ;) Plus, it's also a great time to take pictures of your whole wedding party together!

WEDDING CEREMONY
This is the American version of a wedding ceremony and, although we already had one during our court wedding, I still wanted to do it again in front of our friends and family (hey - even our dog Truffles got to be a part of our ceremony too!) and, most importantly, have my dad walk me down the aisle.

WEDDING RECEPTION
A night of celebration with our 250 guests included a 7-course dinner, dancing, an open bar, photo booth photos, live dj, bilingual MC (for both English/Vietnamese translations), cocktail photos with guests, table greetings (where you go around to each table to thank guests for coming and guests give speeches to the newlyweds), a 4-tiered cake, and a sparkler's exit!

It was such an amazing day to see all our months of planning come to life. Thank you to everyone - our family, friends, and vendors - who came near and far to made it extra special for us. We felt so loved and this day will forever be cherished.

What's the best wedding day advice you've ever received?

Mine would be that nothing's going to go perfect so let the little things go. There were several things that didn't go as planned during our wedding day but that didn't bother me. I really did just let it go. Oh wells, I thought. And by doing so, it was less stressful. A lot less stressful. So breathe in, breathe out, and enjoy the moments throughout the day. As always, thanks for reading and sending you hugs!
