STIXIE: Essie's Breast Cancer Nail Polishes

I was beyond estatic when I found out that Essie was carrying a couple PINK polishes dedicated to Breast Cancer Awareness! If you know me, then you would know that I am not a pink pink person. However, I will always make the exception and be totally pinked out when it comes to spreading breast cancer awareness.  

Since I was going to do the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Walk (pics to come), I knew I had to paint my nails with Essie's Breast Cancer Awareness polish line. It only made sense right? To make it fun, I did a two-tone diagonal design and added a strip of glitter.

WHAT I WORE: Shellac CND base coat, Essie's Check-Up, Essie's We're In It Together, Seche Vite top coat. Aren't the Essie polish names (Check-Up & We're In It Together) so cute? Perfect little reminders to continue spreading Breast Cancer Awareness. Can't help but to love that!

Billabong Design for Humanity 2012

It only happens ONCE a year...and this year it was SOLD OUT. So if you weren't able to make it, don't worry. I have some pics in store for you!

What is Billabong Design for Humanity? A fashion, art, music block party that's what! Located none other than inside the cool lots of Paramount Studios, Los Angeles. Have you ever been? It's pretty HUGE!

This year Billabong teamed up with the Chipotle Cultivate Change Foundation, an organization dedicated to creating a more sustainable food supply, to help raise funds from their 6th Annual Design for Humanity event.

Us first-timers! Went to this super fab block party with my fellow fashion lover Judybug!

After getting our wristbands and coming inside, we spotted this cute little bar section with romantic hanging lights. (umm, can I get this for my backyard please?)

Listened to musicians playing in the NY Streets Backlot. Aren't their outfits reminiscent of old New York style? Love it.

We even got to make custom t-shirts here! Apparently we all have the same taste: GOOD TASTE! lol

Enjoyed live music throughout the night with special performances by: Imagine Dragons, Walk the Moon, The Lumineers, and The Joy Formidable. The energy of the crowd singing along to the music was pretty amazing.

Of course there HAD to be a Billabong fashion show! Couldn't miss out on that! There swim collection was filled with lots of neon colors and daring cutout designs. I'm going to have to find out where I can get my hands on some!

To my surprise, there was a Billabong Design for Humanity x Lookbook.nu Lounge!! (Find me on Lookbook.nu HERE) I was so excited to check it out and meet/reunite with Yuri, Annabelle of Viva Luxury, & Tiffany of Toulomee! Such lovely ladies! Xo

Oh what a night! Judybug and I had a BLAST at the 6th Annual Billabong Design for Humanity event! Who doesn't love fashion, food, music, and art right? So it was really fun being able to attend an event AND support a cause at the same time. That's what I call a win-win in my book! We can't wait to see what's in store for next year!

If you are a Dallas Cowboys fan, this was an event you wanted to be at!

Oh my...what an honor it was to meet Dat Nguyen, the 1st Vietnamese to play in the NFL for the Dallas Cowboys! Since I was here, I HAD to get his autograph (and a couple pictures). He's such a nice person and I'm glad I had the opportunity to get to him. "Follow your dreams" Dat said and that is what I plan to do - something that everyone should do.

ENV Press Conference

Last week I attended the Press Conference for Edison Nation Vietnam(ENV). How exciting it was with all the media in the house who came from all over California! I could tell it was going to be a great event as the Press were eager to meet and interview the ENV team. Everyone seemed very interested in the ENV company and its purpose to help the Vietnamese people.

Additionally, I had the great pleasure of meeting Dat Nguyen (1st Vietnamese to play in the NFL for the Dallas Cowboys) and his lovely wife, Becky Nguyen. -CONGRATS to the happy parents on their soon-to-be 3rd daughter!-

If you haven't heard about Edison Nation Vietnam yet, I'm sure this is just the beginning. ENV is on a mission to help change lives and there is more to come. Stay connected!
