Cabana Lounging at Rancho Bernardo Inn

9.19.2016

Summer may be ending but my swimsuit begs to differ...

Continuing on from our girls getaway to Rancho Bernardo Inn (previous post HERE), we couldn't help but to check out their a-m-a-z-i-n-g spa pool. I mean, who can resist lounging alongside in this beautiful cabana, right? It screams total vacation mode all-the-way! Since the pool is conveniently located within the beautiful lush gardens of Rancho Bernardo Inn, I wanted to wear something "pool-like" but still comfortable and covered up too. And this Luxe by Lisa Vogel tankini bikini was just the thing! I love that it almost looks like a casual dress and the laser cut details make it extra unique. Plus it's lightweight so it doesn't take up much luggage space. A win-win in my travel book!

Where do you like to go to escape? I've been into staycations lately where you can go on a mini vacation without having to actually travel so far. And surprisingly, even though I've lived in Orange County all my life, there's still so much to explore. Share some of your favorite places in the comments below - would love to hear!

{TRAVEL TIP: Book a spa appointment in advanced to enjoy this exclusive pool.}

CHECK IT OUT: Rancho Bernardo Inn, 17550 Bernardo Oaks Drive, San Diego, CA 92128. Tel: (866) 329-8743.

ATK 5 Faves

8.26.2016

Another round-up of weekly ATK 5 Faves...

{FASHION} A girls night out calls for a pretty pink Likely NYC dress, right? This LA-based brand carries classic silhouette pieces that'll quickly become your closet staples. You can find them online at Saks.
{WEARING} pink dress c/o Likely NYC :: AMI Clubwear heels c/o Red Light PR :: Michael Kors handbag :: necklace borrowed from Serene Sky

{BEAUTY} The Korean beauty secret is out and I'm loving the Amore Pacific foundation cushion c/o Obviously Social. It's lightweight, has a liquid base, and goes on smoothly when applied with the sponge provided. As someone who doesn't use foundation, this Asian makeup product is a new favorite and great to use on days for more coverage when no powder is needed.

{FOOD} Pop on into Pop Bar. Any time you're visiting the Anaheim Packing House, you've got to make a stop at Pop Bar for dessert. With their variety of flavors and toppings to choose from, you'll have fun creating your own sweet treat!

{TRAVEL} Summer days at Huntington Beach. Let's face it, summer isn't really quite summer without a day at the beach. Add on a glowing sunset along the beach horizon and *BAM* that's what peaceful paradise looks like.

{LIFE} Staying fit and looking cute, thanks to this strapped sports bra c/o 7 til Midnight. A couple weeks ago I attended a trampoline workout hosted by my friend Autumn at Bounce Society in Costa Mesa. If you've never worked out on a trampoline before, let me tell you, it ain't easy and you'll be bouncing off sweat in no time! Many thanks to Sambazon for the acai treats and Juice Serve Here for the refreshments!

Starting Over

8.10.2016

Life gets tough...

Things don't go as planned. Nothing seems to be working. Everything's falling apart. When this happens, just know it's not forever. You can pause life, re-analyze the situation, and move forward. Yes, you CAN do that! Because the good thing about life is that you can start over at any time. There is no one set plan to follow because you get to make your own rules in life so live it the way you want to!

What is something you want to accomplish before the end of the year? Whether it's redecorating your room, going on a trip, or even trying out a new recipe, write it down and make a plan to accomplish it!

{FASHION TIP: Throw on sneakers to make an outfit feel more relaxed and casual.}

{WEARING} shirt dress c/o Velvet Heart Clothing :: Van's sneakers gifted from the boyfriend :: sunglasses c/o Chili Beans :: ring c/o 7 Charming Sisters :: bracelet c/o Sterling Forever :: Mango clutch from Barcelona trip :: nail polish c/o Essie

Road Trip Travel Style

8.01.2016

Relaxation is key...

Just came back from San Diego last night and the travel bug is still in me! With that said, I'm sharing a super comfortable travel style for your next road trip. When I have to stay in a car for a long time, I always, always, always opt for loose clothing like a tank top and shorts. They are my travel must-haves for ALL trips especially for summer road trips. There's nothing worst than feeling restricted in a car and being uncomfortable for hours, you know what I mean? No thanks! These pictures were actually taken back in May during my birthday road trip to Arizona with the boyfriend (post coming soon!). We literally stopped on the side of the road to quickly capture these photos and I love how they came out! As you can see, I was already ecstatic to explore. Now I want to go on another adventure!

Where are you planning to travel to this summer? Even though there's technically only one month left of summer, I'm hoping to squeeze in one more adventure but not sure where yet. Would love to hear some ideas in the comments below. Have a great Monday everyone and happy first of the month!

{FASHION TIP: Pack a couple versatile basics to mix and match for easy outfits.}

{WEARING} Gypsy Junkies tank :: Kerold Apparel hat c/o Dietch PR :: shorts c/o Hudson Jeans :: Unknown cardigan :: Nike shoes gifted from the boyfriend :: sunglasses c/o ZeroUV :: 2 Bandits bangles c/o Dietch PR
