The bf (aka the chef) and I took on the challenge to create a mixed drink using Smirnoff's new Wild Honey flavored vodka. Last Tuesday, I hosted a Summer Shopping Party at the lovely Kendra Scott Boutique at Fashion Island, Newport Beach. There were sweet treats, champagne, and even Merlot! Guests were able to try on the beautiful Kendra Scott jewels and check out their newly released Fall 2013 Collection "Modern Treasures" which consisted of darker shades of red, black, and slate (love!). Plus, with every purchase, shoppers received a free pair of black sky earrings (worth $55) - score!

Marie Claire x GUESS

Last month I was invited to attend the exclusive Marie Claire x GUESS event at South Coast Plaza and my lovely little sisteroos joined in on the fashion fun. This in-store event was fancier than other ones I've gone to. There was a live female dj, a mani station, and a makeover booth!
Right when you walked in you were greeted with these pink little babies. Any event that offers delicious macaroons upon entrance is a win-win in my book.
Each guess received a mystery key and guess what? Mine happened to open the box! The prize? A $200 Guess gift card - score! I was immediately introduced to personal stylists, Sandra and Brian, and off we went shopping around the store. (It was very sudden and I was still in total shock!)
Somehow I lost the sisteroos and later found them getting makeovers by NYC cosmetics. Aren't they so cute getting pampered?

So I went a little crazy shopping around the store...my dressing room was full of clothes galore.
We ended up coming home with these goodies and new clothes (yay!). Those spring tops were for the little sisteroos ;)

First off, HAPPY 2013 EVERYONE!!! Sorry for being a tad late but it's been so crazy busy this past month with finishing finals (got 5 A's for my first semester of grad school - woohoo!), little sisteroo's monumental 25th birthday celebrations (event pics to come), Christmas, New Years, and traveling in between! I seriously just got back from New York the other day and can't wait to get back to blogging again! For now, here are some Instagram pics from my latest NYC trip ;)
Took Marc*y (Xmas gift from the bf) out to Times Square (more here) / Gossip Girls gB style / surprise red rose from the bf & current favorites
Manhattan sweets: Ippudo green tea creme brulee, Baked by Melissa mini cupcakes (more here) / Financier pistachio macaroon (so huge!) / Junior's strawberry cheesecake
Our good friends from Philly brought us Moonshine (tasted like cinnamon oatmeal) / Clubbing attire for the Meatpacking District / Ippudo pork buns (delish!) & ramen
You know what? Seems like blogging has become the new online photo diary for the modern age which I can't complain. This blog has given me many blessings so far as I got to meet so many cool people and make new friends. I really appreciate each and every one of you taking the time to stay updated with me here. FNO = Fashion's Night Out

Omg I have been waiting for months on end for this day to come! Seriously, months! Now it's less than a day away. My first time attending Fashion's Night Out was a couple years ago when I was helping out with CBT at the Beverly Center. Mayor Villaraigosa was there among many other celebrities. Luckily, there were two fashion shows that night so I was able to see both ends of the show and it was really fun! In case you don't know, Fashion's Night Out is a worldwide event for all you fashion lovers out there (yes, you). Thousands of stores throughout the world participate in this celebration by offering treats, drinks, and limited edition goodies. Even celebrities, bloggers, models, designers, and more can be seen attending this fashion extravanganza. Basically, anyone who's anyone will be there!
So what do you do? I know, there's so much going on this day that it can be a little overwhelming. Trust, I wouldn't even know where to begin either...but to help out, click here for FNO details for an event near you.
Are you ready now? Go out and celebrate Fashion's Night Out! Be sure to shop by your nearest participating store after work - you never know who you're going to meet! ;)

Late night dessert run: peach pie a la mode
Celebrated Labor Day weekend by going to LA. It was a nice day outside and definitely enjoyed it.
So happy! Finally got my froyo fix - thanks to the bf. My usual toppings of choice? Very simple: blueberries, bananas (if available), granola, & almonds.
Wondered around the Atrium and checked out some cool museums with the bf - pics to come!
